Shannen Down With Bad Flu

This flu thing has been going on and most of the Punggols has got it. I was so afraid that Shannen will be nex and indeed, she is. Brought her to the PD @ Kidz Clinic. The nurse weight her and she was 7.9kg. Consider on the slightly below average ones... Still, she is healthy. PD was really surprised that when I told her the foods & fruits I gave to Shannen. Hope she get well soon.

Huiting's Birthday

It's Huiting's birthday today. I decided to throw her a min party which only involved the Punggols. Let me share a bit more about her.

Lee Hui Ting, female, just turned 17, has been staying with us for years. She is my 8th aunty's daughter and has since been with us since she was 1 month old. We took care of her until 13 when her mom(my aunty) then decided that it's time to bring her back since she(my aunty) already re-married. She(my aunty) hopes that she can give Huiting a "Happy Family". Not long after Huiting went back home, she kept coming to us and told us that her mom beat her. We didn't believe it as Huiting likes to tell lies when she was young(though she still does right now).

Only when she was about 14, that was the 1st time she was chased out by her mom. Huiting called up my dad to pick her up from her Woodlands' flat. After 3 days, aunty came and brought her back. After that incident, Huiting was occationally thrown out of her house by Aunty, and my dad had to go and pick her up. Sometime even in the middle of the night. Not only that, we found cane marks on her legs and hands. It was about 2 years back when it was also the last time Huiting ever go back home. I still remember it was about 11pm when we received a phone call from Huiting. She was crying and spoke very softly. She asked my mom to call dad to bring her to my house. Together with 18 packs of things, she came with a pair of swollen eyes. My Aunty actually packed every single things that belongs to Huiting and threw out of the corridoor. I can't believe that a mother would do such things to her own daughter. I should say, thanks to her step-father(frankly speaking, I hate to see this man).

A few days later, I called up Aunty and told her that Huiting was at my place. I was kinda pissed when she didn't bother and already assumed that Huiting will 100% be @ my place. She told me to "return" Huiting to her, otherwise she will go and make a police report and said we "kidnapped" her. Wow... She is my blood related Aunty leh. I was ^&%^$^#$&^%#&#% with her. Couldn't be bothered anymore. No more repects for her. I told her, if she ever dare to go and make a police report, I will report her too for torturing her daughter. In fact, she did made a police report, saying that her daughter had disappeared. Huiting had to follow her back to "cancelled" the missing report then. I still remember Huiting called us immediately after she came out from the police station, crying and saying sorry to us for making this a big problem.

A few days later, I decided to talk things out with Aunty. I told her to let Huiting stay at our place since she doesn't like her. To Aunty, Huiting is just a pest. Please lor, all these years, she had never been a mother to her. Only know how to scold and beat her. Well, she is her mother and of course we can't stop her, but if she gone too far, I have to step in then. Aunty finally gave in and let Huiting stay at our place.

Last year, I didn't plan any party for Huiting as I was pregnant. Since Shannen is out, and I'm going to be a housewife soon, I just hope to give her a mini Punggol party this time.. Let find out what kinda presents she got this year(though there isn't any phone call from her mother to wish her Happy Birthday) .

New Hair Style

We brought Shannen to the badmiton court to watch her daddy's game. She was sweating.... I think I was too free and I created a new hair style for her, nice??

New Kitty Bank & Chocolate

Went to Vivo City for lunch and it was raining heavy. Decided to take a cab from Harbour Front so that we (me & Pauline) won't be caught in the rain. Just as we were walking towards the taxi stand, we saw a tibits fair @ level 1. Bought a Hello Kitty bank for Shannen. As I was about to exit for payment, Pauline told me that the Meji chocolate is meant for babies which she gave Nigel and Bryan when they were babies. So I decided to buy 1 "bottle" to let Shannen try. Verdict - She loved it!. Another fav. food in her list.

10th Month Milestones

Shannen has finally turn 10 months old. Let's take a look @ what she can do @ 10 months old for now.

1) She can wave bye bye
2) She can clap hands
3) Understand and will do action when we sing Twinkle Twinkle little stars
4) She will look up to Goddess of Mercy & "pai pai" when we told her to
5) She can stand up from a sitting position while holding onto our clothes
6) She can call, mama, papa, po... po... (my mom), gu (my brother), yee....(my cousin), bag
7) Zoom very fast in her walker.
8) Since she had a fall few weeks back, she will use her head to test on the ground before she move from a sitting position to a lying down position. (Lolz)
9) Will give us her pacifier when we ask from her when she wakes up.
10) Will cover her nose and shake her head when wanna give her her used diaper
11) When ask her to sayang U, she will lie down on u and give u a teddy bear hug.

Her fav. foods for now are porridge, chicken, pork, borccoli, pumpkin, yogurt, cherries, durians(bitter ones), grapefruits, watermelon, banana, payaya, spinach, cai xin, xiao bai cai, califlowers, fish(threadfish), baby biscuits (stars and Wan Wan ones), cornflakes, etc... What a greedy girl! Lolz.... Let's look forward for more surprises from her!!!.

Nov. Mummies Gathering

It was a good gathering which I believe all mummies, daddies and their babies & toodlers enjoy it. As soon as I stepped into the house, I was busy with the baby's porridge. The kitchen was so hot lor. I think I look like a maid too. But I kinda enjoy it cos' seeing the babies eating the porridge is something made me most happy that day. The adults had some pizza for dinner (thanks for Looney in helping to order the foods, othewise all the hungry men will become angry man. lolz...)

We stayed there till 8pm. Forgot about the yogurt for the babies and also the star biscuits too. Next time aunty will try to remember.

3 Cries In A Day

Shannen had her bad day. She had 3 bad cries and 1 "bao"

1) The notti mummy made her cry so that she can change her ringtone

2) Shannen hit her head on the floor when she tried to move from a sitting position to a crawling position so that she can get her toys. Her hands are too weak and couldn't support her body weight. Ended up she fell hard on the floor and burst out loudly with an additional "bao" on her right hand top corner head.

3) She refused to finish her milk. She only drank 120ml and kept pushing the bottle away. I didn't beat her. Just put her in the sitting position on the bed and took away her toys. This time, she cried out loud. So loud that I think my neighbour heard it. I told her to stop crying and she did, but when she saw mummy, she cried even louder this time. She was shivering. Mom wanna carry her, but she didn't want. Insist me to carry her. See already also heart pain. But still have to teach her. After I carried her, Shannen sound unhappy and seem like she is scolding me. lolz...

Happy Birthday Janine

It was the very 1st time DH join me for my 1st official gathering. But it's quite a pity that we only stayed there for an hour. Cat, paiseh... Shannen was kinda shy at 1st. So was Elson. He sat at the corner, near to the kitchen. While I carried Shannen and sit with AB and some other mummies in the centre. Saw so many pretty mummies and really envy them with their nice figures.
