The Buffet Club - Amara Hotel, Element

We received the membership from The Buffet Club on Tuesday and made an appointment with Amara Hotel to dine-in @ Element for their international buffet this evening. The variety of the foods wasn't a lot but I would give a 9/10 for the taste of the foods. Can see that Shannen did enjoy her dinner.

It's our (me & Shannen) 1st visit to this restaurant. Since Shannen will not be going to the Sentosa excursion, we had decided not to let her go to school too. Elson gave us a ride to mummy's place before to go to town to collect some documents. Huiting was the only one at home cos Daddy & Mummy had went to a Grand-Uncle's funerals.

SHE (Shannen, Huiting, Erin) had decided to take a 15mins bus ride to Tampines One to shop around. We settled our lunch @ Bakerzin. Think the pasta (kids' meal) were too chewy for Shannen. She only 4-5 spoonful of the whole plate. Scare that Shannen will be hungry, I ordered a slice of cake for her too. At least she was able to finish half of the cake. After that we shop around and bought a puzzle for Shannen then off we went back to mummy's place to take our showers and naps..

Seafood Feast

This is my 3rd visit to this Malaysia Seafood Restaurant. Overall, the foods are nice and cheap. The full meals including drinks only cost us RM$290. Which is about S$130. This is so much cheaper than we bought crabs from Singapore restaurants which can cost us about S$200 for 4 crabs. We sure gonna go back there again.

Fried Wanton Mee with Chicken & Vege
Indonesian Curry Prawns (die die must try)
Fried Bun (perfect with the prawn curry)
Steamed Nonya Sotong (damn good)
Sambal Mussels (ok only, not spicy)
Steamed Sea Mantis
Salted Egg Crab (also die die must try)
Steamed Bamboo Clams with garlic
Homemade Tofu with Sea Cucumber (delicious)
6 Rice
5 Lime with Sour Plum drinks (very nice)
1 bottle of Beer (for my dad)

It's the usual day which I bring Shannen to mummy's place. On the other hand, I need to use up the voucher which I got after joining as a member of New York New York restaurant since it will expired in another month times. Picked up Shannen earlier from school then took a cab to mummy's place to pick up daddy & mummy then we head off to Kovan Mall for our appointed lunch @ New York New York. I ordered a Aglio Loil, Daddy had an Hawaiian Chicken Chop, Shannen & Mummy shared a Long Island Salmon. I also ordered a Calamari for side and a Root Beer Ice-cream to share. Shannen was enjoying herself as you can see from the pictures below.

When we reached mummy's place, was surprised to see a mini mountain of bean spout shells at the door. Daddy managed to a huge bag of bean spout shells from his old-time friend. It took us 2 days to finish clearing the mess. All the cleaned and dried up shell will be replacing Shannen's old bolster. While Daddy will get more shells for us when baby no.2 is coming out soon.

Finally Over

Managed to contact Huiting's mother (my flesh blood 8th Aunty) and get her to go down to Causeway Point to meet us(Mummy & SHE aka Shannen, Huiting & Erin) outside Singtel. This is to get her to sign on some papers to ensure that Huiting will not need her in future to re-new her Singtel's contract as she is already 18. After everything was done, we went to Crystal Jade for lunch. It cost me $90 for this meal but after all it's worth it as I don't have to see her(Huiting's mother) again.

As promised, brought Shannen to Kiddy Palace to chose her toys. She was very indecisive, so I end up buying a big bag of Mega Blocks(bought this for last year Nov. Toddler's Birthday bash) for her. Told mummy to bathe Shannen with some "flowers" as to chase away the bad luck (usually I am not so superstitious, but after Shannen fell sick for 4 times within a week, I think I had to do that for her). Hopefully the whole episode will come to an end.

Also brought Shannen to the playground after a few failed attempts by daddy. He tried to bring Shannen to the playground almost every week, but failed. Cos when they reached the lift, Shannen will U-turn back, crying and asking for me. Lolz....

Dinner @ Swensen

We had a great dinner @ Swensen with a special guest attendance - Jo. Was kinda disappointed with the french fries. Cos the guy told me that they do not add in any salt into their fries, but... I just wonder how come the fries were pretty salty. Was planning to gave some to Shannen, but after I tasted it. No way manz... Far too salty for her liao. So Shannen ended up having some Pumpkin biscuits from Aunty Jen.
