The Invisible Teeth

Since Shannen was 4months old, we had been waiting for your 1st precious tooth. She kept bitting things and drooling so much that it could fill a pail per day. Just now when I gave her the cherries, was surpised to find out that she was able to bite it off. So I used my fingers to feel her gums and felt 2 teeth on her lower central incisors. I was very sharp. When I tried to feel her upper gum, she quickly closed her mouth and bit me on my finger. Ouch!

After that I told mummy when happened and she was braved enough(I think she dun believe what I said that's why she dare to do it) to put her whole finger in Shannen's mouth. This little monster gave Ah Mah a hard bit and mummy was screaming OUCH!!!!!! Lolz.......

Finally No More A Vegetarian

Shannen had been eating vegetables for the past 3months. After getting the go ahead "green lights" from Dr. Koh, we decided to give her some fish for her dinner today. No seasonings at all. Just plain porridge with steam cod fish meats. I knew earlier that she won't like it cos' during my pregnancy, I hated fish! Indeed, she gave me the "vomit" expressions for her 1st feed. After that we then added some marmite into the porridge for a better taste. It was remarkable as she was able to finish almost 2 bowls. Phew....

Finally 8 Months Old

Times flies and little monster is finally 8 months old. Take a look at her latest styles....

Regular Check-Up

Brought Shannen to Dr. Koh on Tuesday afternoon for her assessments. She was weighing 7.2kg, height @ 68.2cm and head circumference @ 44cm. Everything is normal, according to Dr. Koh. She can start eating meats and other types of vegetable rather than always munching on the pumpkin or plain porridge with marmite. After the check-up, we brought her along to AMK Hub. Very big shopping mall with so many shops and a huge supermarket - NTUC.

Shannen was kinda hungry when we just stepped into the mall. No choice, gonna find a restaurant to settle down and give her the milk. After finishing her milk feed, she was kinda grouchy. Think she wanna sleep... Called up daddy and he told us that he will reach AMK by 5.30pm to pick us up. While waiting, we took some pictures of the grouchy monster with Mr. MacDonald. Mummy also managed to take some pictures with Shannen outside MOS Burger. When we reached home, Mummy help me to bath her when we reached home while I quickly prepared her spinach porridge. She kinda liked it and finished 2 big bowls!

By 8pm, she was making noise. We put her in sarong. With an effortless of 10 mins rock, she fell asleep..... I was so damn tired....

Playing Hide & Seek

As usual, it's Shannen fav. game and she will laugh out loud when you re-appear in front of her again. But this time, she will bend her head either to the left or to the right to look out for you when you call for her.

Mother's Day

Didn't have any special arrangement as I was sick this year. So pity as this is the 1st year I am officially announce proudly to become a real Mummy.... Look @@ my puffy eyes which I got from not getting enough sleep for the past 1 week.









At least I received something very special from my little one. She finally called me "mama" on Mother's Day. It's the best gift ever. We tried and asked her to call me again, she did it again and it was clearly this time. I was so so contented!

Poo Poo & Eating at the same time

Playing with Washing Machine

This little monster had been sitting on the washing machine for many weeks. She loved it so much especially when the washing machine is spinning, drying the clothes. We tried to put her in the washing machine just now and she was happily smiling, waiting for her pics to be taken... Lolz....

Drinking From Straw

Shannen has been having gum pain these few weeks and is bitting almost everything that's in her hands. She hates drinking water from bottle too. Though I've changed to another new bottle, cos' it would be having any smell of Prune juice, she still refuse to drink from bottle. Mummy had to spoon feed her.

So I decided to give her water from straw yesterday. First, I filled up the straw with water and put it in her mouth. She seen to like it cos' it's something new. I did it for around 5-6 times. Kinda tired doing it. So, I decided to let her try to drink from straw. She got chocked at first, but after a few tries, she is able to drink from the straw. Not a bad start as she was able to drink about 10ml.

Shannen can finally turn by herself!!!

This may not surprise any mummies or daddies when their babies is able to turn by themselves by 6 months. But this really surprise me to see my 7months 2 weeks old lazy bum to turn by herself. Whenever we try to push her back to make her turn to grab her Barney, her body will be half cross, but too lazy to turn. We have to fully carry her up and make her lay on her tummy. U can imagine how lazy Shannen can be.

Elson was pushing her back in the morning and kept telling me how lazy Shannen is not to turn by herself. She was again, lying on the bed with her half cross body, trying to use her hand to reach out for Barney instead of turning fully to get close to Barney. Damn lazy girl!.

In the night, after her dinner, we put her on her usual mattress for her laz around. Was really surprise to see her turn and lie on her tummy herself. After I try to make her lie down on her back, she did the same to turn by herself again. We kept reapting the same thing over and over again for serveral times to make sure that she is really doing it by herself.... Finally lazy bum can really do it!
