Pretended Sleep

Shannen has been doing this a few days liao. She pretend to sleep and I really thought she was asleep. Just when I went out to prepare the things and was about to start mopping the floor. I saw her playing in the sarong and when she saw me, we went back to pretend to sleep again.

Night Safari 2

The kids are having their school holidays and we have them over to stay with us for a few days before mama leave for Perth. We picked up Chloe only today from the childcare centre cos Elson wanna bring all of them to the Night safari.

We reached home at about 10pm and Elson had to send mama to AMK. So am left alone with 4 kids. Took a quick bathe for the girls(including Shannen) and I told Peixuan & Chloe to play in mama's room while Yongliang can take his shower. I then quickly went for a shower while I left Shannen on the bed with her fav. Lilo & Stitch cartoon on. After all showers taken, told the kids to lower down their volume while I let Shannen sleep. True enough, it only takes 20 mins before Shannen went into deep sleep and play in her ever wonderland. It was about 11.30pm when I asked the kids to turn in earlier. Peixuan was scared of the dark but I can't company them cos I need to look after Shannen. So I turned on a mini lamp. When I 1st went into mama's room to check on them, they were still laughing loudly. I opened the door and they all pretend to sleep. Told them if they dun sleep early, I will have to call their daddies to pick them up immediately. Peixuan asked me when will I check on them again. I told her 5 mins.

I went in again in another 20mins, they were all sound asleep. I switch off the lamp and returned to my room.

P.S. The unpleasant "guest" was still at the hall, watching my big screen with the lights and fan on. Dun have to ask me who she is, only family knows. Paisei. :)

Xin Wang Cafe

It's the 2nd time we dine in here again, but this time is for tea time. Wanted to get more Piyo Piyo Pacifiers for Shannen that's why need to go to Kovan Mall, but bad luck cos couldn't find any of the ones which Shannen is using. Think gonna wait for the new stocks to come in(I've waited for months...)

My Birthday

Many people must me wondering where did we go to celebrate my birthday. Tell you what, we didn't have any celebration. Not to mentioned that Elson actually didn't know it's my birthday today. Thanks to all the friends who remembered it and send me sms and messages on the blog.

It's was dinner time when Elson's phone suddenly rang. He was too lazy to move and am the one again to go up and get his phone. Sharlene (siser in-law) called and asked me for our(Elson, Shannen and me) details cos we will be going to Pearl River on National Day. Hooray!!!! By telling her my DOB, means she will know that it's my birthday today. Indeed, she sms me not long after we got the details to book the air tickets. Thanks Sharlene and Megan for the birthday wishes too.

After dinner, we went upstairs to talk about the trip. I was so excited about it. Just when me and Elson were having some "loud" conversations, I told him "it's my birthday today hor. Can I be the queen for today or not". He looked shocked and then replied "so what. You wanna go tour or just want me to remember your birthday only". Answer as expected. I knew it, and that's why I didn't wanna tell him any earlier until then. Just when mama came out from the room, Elson turned to her and told her it's my birthday, I knew he said it in guilt. Mama suggested that we should go out for a walk, but since the Pohs are all sick, we just wanna stay at home and not move about. Mama was so nice to cook me sweet mee sua with red eggs. So happy and Shannen enjoyed the mee sua with me.

Zoo Out 3

Elson decided to work from home and we brought Shannen to the Zoo in the afternoon. Since it's a weekday, we will be having a free tram ride from the Zoo. Enjoy the pics.

Our Bali Trip Day 4

Finally it's time to go back home. I miss my bed, I miss the water, I miss everything.

We woke up at 8.30am and checkout from the hotel. Went for the free breakfast then head off to the airport via Taxi. We reached the airport at 10.30am while our flight is at 1pm. We were so sleepy. Elson told me to change the Rupee back to Singapore dollars cos he dun think he ever wanna come back here again. I know why. Lolz...

We waited and waited and finally we were able to proceed to the waiting area. While waiting for boarding, Shannen were following the 3 Australian girls. At 1st, they didn't dare to play with Shannen, but our little girl kept following behind them. As they sat on the floor, Shannen followed them and I can see many pairs of eyes are looking at them(Shannen & the 3 girls). After a short while, they start playing together and the elder sister hold Shannen's hand and talk to her and of course Shannen talk to her in her own language. They have a great time playing together until their mother came and told them it's time to board the plane.

Shannen fell asleep when the plane took off and nap for about an hour. I gave her her milk on the plane while many people were watching. They were all very curious why am I feeding Shannen through syringes instead of giving her the milk from bottle. Well, when someone stared @ us, I just tell them, "it's faster this way". Lolz..

Both me and Elson were kinda happy. Cos we seldom bring Shannen out and she doesn't have any siblings, but yet she will approach children and wanna play with them. She will share with people things and we kept reminding her not to hit any kids while playing. Our little girl has finally grow up!

Dun think I will ever recommend this hotel to any of my friends. The reasons are :-

1) The stupid toilet door cannot be locked and there are 6 holes on both the top and bottom portion of the door. Which means when you shit the whole room stink!

2) The floor is very wet and slippery and also cold after shower due to the water vapour.

3) We have to take a lift downwards. Which means we were staying at the basement.

4) The Hotel is on slope up. We have to walk up and down the slope every time we get out from the hotel. It makes us too lazy to go out.

5) We weren't too happy when we asked to tidy our room while we went for a swim and it's not done. The staff told me they were having break. Can't believe it!

6) Shannen's bolster were gone on 2nd day after they tidy our room.

Our Bali Trip Day 3

We woke up early this time to try the buffet breakfast offers by Hardrock Cafe Hotel. It was nothing fantastic as what we imagined. Soon as we finished the breakfast we went back to our hotel room for a change and went for a swim. Shannen played for a short while this time and insisted Elson to carry her. She was clinging onto him and dun wanna let go.

After the swim, we let her take another nap cos she woke up too early(8am). Same things happened again. I sneaked out to buy some leftover stuffs from the Megastore and spent another 1.3millions worth of things. In total, we had spent more than 3 millions @ the Megastore. & For every million you spent, you will have a chance to draw for a free gift. Guess what, I had a beach volleyball this time. The exact same one which Elson bought for Shannen the previous night. Lolz...

When Shannen was awake, we went to the Starz Diner(another Hardrock Cafe restaurant) for our lunch. Ordered a Sambal Prawn with yellow rice, Crispy Duck with steam rice Wan Po Chicken with steam rice, Mushroom soup, Lime Juice and a Papaya Juice. Overall, I would rate all the dishes 2 stars out of 5, but the drinks were really good. I think the add in some 7-up into the Lime Juice. As for the Papaya Juice, it was thick and sweet. Doesn't taste like those which has add water in.

After lunch, we decided to let Shannen take another nap again. We didn't go anywhere cos the air pollution there was really bad. It was worse than Bangkok. We just wanna stay in the hotel. We ordered for the hotel food again and I wanna eat the Lamb chop for another round while Elson ordered a striplion. Shannen will eats the bread, vege, fries. I thinks the Lamp Chop taste better than the beef. After foods, we let Shannen dip in the bath tub and she has a good splash in it.

During the night feed(milk), Shannen was struggling to drink milk and I had to grab and pinned her down to give her the milk thru syringes(as usual). Think I use too much force and sprained her left hand. She was crying when we told her to lift up her hand. She can move them but will cry again when we touch her. When she sleep in the night, she will cry when she move. I had to carry her and let her lie on me. Felt so guilty about it. Told Elson that if her hand does not get well, we will bring her to the hospital when we reach Singapore tomorrow.

I didn't dare to sleep. Kept monitoring her the whole night. Only until she moved her body and didn't cry, I was then at ease. Felt so happy again. Finally my little princess is alright. Baby, mummy love U! So sorry that I sprained your hand. I didn't mean it.

Our Bali Trip Day 2

We woke up only at 10am and the buffet breakfast ends @ 10.30am. So we decided to sleep for a while longer and went to the nearby Chinese restaurant for some foods. Shannen is still the same. Just can't behave herself. Maybe she is too excited about staying at a different room, eating different foods, seeing different people. She was everywhere in the restaurant with her shoe off. Soon as those people who were sitting outside, finished their foods, we requested the staff to change our table outside so that Shannen can climb up and down at the sofa. Indeed she did not sit still and pour some water and wet the sofa in the end. Good thing is the staffs weren't angry about it.

After "breakfast-lunch" we went for a stroll at the famous Kuta Beach. The beach was packed with the locals and lots of Caucasians. You can see lots of people surfing, doing their nails, having fake tattoos, etcs. We stayed there for a short while and went back to the hotel for a swim(for Shannen). Shannen loves the water but was panic when she can't feel the ground. We swim for about 30mins and went back to the hotel for our proper lunch (room service). The Fish N Chips & Lamp Chop were really good. Can't wait to try those if they have it in Singapore, but let me tell you, the portion are much smaller compare to Singapore ones.

After lunch, Shannen & Elson took their naps while I sneaked out to get some presents from HRB Megastore. Spent 1.2 millions(in Rupee) worth of Hardrock stuffs and most of them are for Shannen. Soon as they woke up, we went back to Kuta Beach for a stroll again, thinking maybe we can get some bite there. This time, Shannen refused to walk by herself. She didn't want to step on the sand to dirty her feet. Lolz.... We ended up walking around the beach and hit the street near their city. Our actual intention is to dine in @ Ketupat (a very famous restaurant which serve local foods). But we were just too tired to walk and settled our dinner as we walked into a proper looking restaurant(quite near to the Hardrock Megastore). Tell you hor..... The foods tasted suck! So salty. The satay is terrible, noodles looks like vomits. We didn't finish them and left no tips for them too.

As we were approaching the hotel, we pop by to the Starbuck Cafe for a drink. Elson had a Ice Mocha while I have a Chocolate Cream Chips. Shannen enjoys the whipped cream from my drink. Told Elson that we should get something for the kids back home and we decided to buy some t-shirts @ Hardrock Cafe Megastore. While I was chosing the t-shirts, Shannen was playing ball (beach volley from the Megastore) with Elson. Soon as we going to leave to store, Shannen was making noise. She wanna bring the ball along. So Elson got no choice but to pay for the ball and our happy Shannen was kicking and throwing the ball in the hotel room.

We sleep earlier as we wanna try the free breakfast from the hotel and of course our little princess also slept early because she is too tired.

Our Bali Trip Day 1

We got a ride from Ken(BIL) to the airport to catch our flight @ 7.00pm. Since we had our seats booked in advance we do not need to arrive the airport too early. 2 hours before the flight will be just nice. After check-in our luggage, we proceed to the Burger King to get some fries for Shannen(since she didn't have any porridge for dinner). She was running around the whole time. Even when we arrive Bali, Elson had to follow her @ the immigration check-point.

We were the last to leave the airport due to queuing @ the wrong Q. We quickly went to fetch our luggage and couldn't find anything left at the belt. Then the staff told us that we could find our luggage at the "Lost & Found" counter and we finally got our stuff back. Just then Shannen made noise and wanna to get down. Elson was so pissed and scolded her. Poor darling then came to me and hug me like a bear, sobbing away. Worse..... There's no sight of anyone to fetch us to the hotel and Elson made a phone call to Hardrock Cafe Hotel. The guy direct us to a 24 hours agency which they will made arrange to ferry us back to the hotel and we finally reach Hardrock @ 11pm.

Soon as we put everything down, we left to the nearby food centre to grab a bit and get ourselves some minerals water. Shannen was happily dancing away with the music. We slept at only 1 plus in the morning.

Flu

Shannen is finally down with flu after DH pass it to her. Got to bring her to the doc is she still unwell on Wed. We are leaving for Bali on Friday night. Hopefully she will recover by then. Pray hard now.

On 11th of May
-Fever with flu. Temperature @ around 37.8.

On 12th of May
- Fever & flu. Temperature range from 38 to highest @ 39.2. Gave her stronger fever medicine but fever still come back in the middle of the night @ 38.1. Got to give her fever patch and she was crying due to the cooling effect of the patch.

On 13th of May
- Still running nose. Much more concentrated liao but still clear colour. Have block nose in the middle of the night. Couldn't sleep at all. Was transfer from bed to sarong at least 5 times the whole night. End up I didn't sleep too.

on 14th of May
- Brought Shannen to PD and she said it's some virus attack. Give her 5 kinds of medicines with nose drop. No need any vaccination after confirmed by PD. Flu was still bad and cough with lots of phlegm. Though no fever but still got to be careful. Sleep alright on bed in the night but still can hear her coughing as and when.

on 15th of May
- Bad morning cos only drink 100ml of milk. Have running & blocked nose with cough & lots of phlegm. Mucus was much thicker & a little green in colour. Too heaty liao. Only then I realised that her canine is coming out. Didn't drink and eat well in the night. Cried from 8.30pm to 10.00pm. Until her both eyes cannot open. Kept wanting me to hug her. Finally fell asleep by 10.30pm.

on 16th of May
- Though she is 20 months old today, but we really has no mood to take pics or do any postings for Shannen. She woke up @ 8.30am asking for water. Gave her milk @ 8.45am and managed to finish 270ml. After giving her the last medicine, Zytec, she vomit out the medicine + milk + phlegm. I think about 1/2 children cup ba. She is better now and sleeping in the sarong. No more running nose unless she cries. Still have cough with phlegm sound. Please get well soon.

After much discussion with Elson, we will go ahead to carry on our trip to Bali. We agree to take turns to take care of Shannen. Hopefully everything goes on smoothly otherwise we will take an earlier flight back without any hesitation.
