Elson's Birthday

I know it's Children's Day tomorrow, but it also happen to be the hatch day for Elson. As usual, the sisters will celebrate it for him cos the kids are "off" on this day. This year, they chose to surprise him with a day in advance.

Sharlene called me in the afternoon to ensure that we will be staying at home. She told me that they will come to our place around 9pm to give Elson a surprise. What we need to do is to act normal. Pretend nothing is going to happen and no one wanna bother about him too. Megan & family arrive around 8pm with a birthday card and cake, while Sharlene & family had went to Chong Pang market to tabao some foods. Soon as everyone arrived, they light up the candles and give Elson a surprise with the kids shouting out loud. Actually it wasn't that surprise cos our little Shihui was screaming downstairs when she saw Ken (Megan's husband). Lolz...

Overall, everyone enjoy it and our little princess Shannen, give daddy the biggest hug and kisses. Told Elson that I can't afford anything he wants, cos those things he wants are too expensive. Well, he surprised me by telling me that his present will arrive next week which he bought for himself, a new car.

Pneumococcal Vaccine

Decided to let Shannen take an additional vaccination, Pneumoccal. Hoping that it will help to boost up Shannen's immune system when she attend school in Oct. She was happily waiting for her turn @ SBCC AMK, not knowning that she will be jab when her turn comes. Overall, she didn't cried for long, only for a few seconds.

Went to AMK Hub after leaving SBCC and bought a school bag for Shannen. Just need to get her ready by then.

Still not knowing that she will be jab later

The process.............

Forgot about the pain just now and enjoying herself posing

Genting Trip Day 3

There's no free breakfast for today, so we decided to go to the top and have some dim sum for breakfast. After breakfast, the MD brought Shannen back to the hotel room while me and Huiting spend every precious minutes, shopping for more things. So we ended up buying more hair clips. After the crazy shopping, we went to Five Stars counter to get our arranged seat no. Were so happy to learn that we will be sitting at the bottom row. At least I dun have to carry Shannen up and down again.

Before heading back to the hotel room, we bought some food from Kenny Rogers for Shannen as lunch cos we were unable to purchase some dim sum from the restaurant. The staffs told us no bringing their foods out. Soon as Shannen happily finish her lunch, we check-out from the rooms and head off to our coach rides. It was a comfy journey as Shannen took a 3 1/2 nap sleeping on me. We reached MD's place around 10pm. It was a fantastic trip.

Genting Trip Day 2

We woke up as early as 7am and our little princess did not waste any time too. Shannen woke up at 8am for her milk and off we head to the cafe for our free breakfast. Everything on the table was not wasted. We finished everything single piece of them. Lolz... After that we went right up to the highest building of Genting, wanting to take the cable car to the Animal Kingdom at the bottom of the hills. On our way to the cable car rides, we passed by the "Arcade". We wanted to only play some games to kill sometime cos it's still early. As we started on, we couldn't stop. Our intention was to win something for Shannen. We ended up spending 1 hour and 20 mins with RM50 for the little froggie for Shannen. Daddy and I were so tired after hitting the "wolves" from the games for 8 rounds. Lolz...

The rides took us 15 minutes to reach to bottom of the hill. That's nothing much in the Animal Kingdom. Except Shannen got to take some pictures with the little "live" parrot. We also bought some goodies for our fellow neighbours and relatives at the shop just outside the Animal Kingdom. Shannen was enjoying her sweet treats from them. I think she ate more than 10 gummies there. Lolz... We took the cable car back to the top and went straight for lunch at ..... (got to ask Mummy, forgotten the name). After that, SHE proceed back to hotel room for nap while MD went to the Casino again.

We met at 6pm for dinner at Mushroom Farm again cos daddy managed to earn some $$. It was so cold as you can see from the pictures. The meal cost us almost the same price as the previous day. After dinner, mummy decided to head back to Casino to win some her losses while daddy planned to go back to the hotel room for some rest. SHE proceed for our plan, SHOPPING! Bought a Russ bear for Shannen which cost me RM47 only. Which is lesser than the froggie with no strength needed. Also bought some hair clips for Shannen. Before heading back to the hotel room, we ordered 2 Waffle Bowl Sundaes and a slice of ice-cream cake from Baskin Robbins. Wow.... nice cold supper. Shannen enjoyed the waffles very much.

Genting Trip Day 1

We woke up as early as 4.30am to get ready for the long waiting Genting trip. Shannen was pretty co-operative as she woke up at 5am for her milk feed and changed into her "prepared clothes" and we left mummy's place at 5.30am to Tampines for the coach ride. The double-decker reached around 6.20am and after picking us up, it drove to Golden Mile Complex to pick up other passengers. We were then seated "downstairs" though the bus driver had told us that our seats were pre-arranged to be upstairs. He told us that if those passengers agreed to change seats with us, then we can be seated downstairs till we reaches Genting. Just gonna keep our fingers crossed. When we reached Golden Mile, I saw this old lady, sitting on wheelchairs who was accompany with a maid and a guy ( I think it's her son), walking towards our coach. Guess she must be the passengers who were pre-arranged to be seated downstairs. No choice, but we gonna move then.

You must be wondering how come I was so persistence to get the seats downstairs. During the booking and upon payments made, I was told that I was the only customer who booked for the executive class coach, which means I have priority for my seats and the lady promised me with below seats for all of us so that it would be easier for us during the break. Otherwise I have to carry Shannen up and down. Ok, never mind, we got to give in somehow. Throughout the journey, Shannen was sleeping in my arms. Only until we reached the Singapore and Malaysia customs, she was right awake. It was then another 1 hour ride before we reached "Yong Ping" for breakfast. As you can see from the pics that Shannen was enjoying her ice-cream after her "breakfast". She also took another nap for 2 hours after breakfast before we reach Genting at 12.30pm. Overall, Shannen behaved well on the coach.

We were able to check-in to First World Deluxe room by 1.20pm. After leaving everything behind, we went straight to the counter to purchase our tickets for the indoor rides. Daddy prefer to visit his old-time friend (the Casino). Lolz.. As Shannen is below 3, she will have free entrance to the kiddos rides. We enjoyed every bits of that. After a good 1 1/2 hour play, we wet to the "Mushroom Farm" for dinner. I have to give a thumbs up for the dinner. Everything only cost us RM120 and it was sponsor by Daddy's old-time friend. Lolz...

Huiting, Shannen and me decided to went back to the hotel room for some rest while mummy join daddy to the Casino. We took a 2 hours nap again and found mummy knocking at our door. She was unable to open hers (the hotel door) and came from our door to proceed to her room (we had a connected room). She was too tired and decided to take a shower and called the day off, while the 3 of us, SHE (Shannen, Huiting, Erin) went downstairs to get some supper. Daddy called me and meet up with us @ PizzaHut then we proceed back to our room for the good supper and head off to bed by 12 midnight.

Haw Par Villa

I've never been to Haw Par Villa, neither do I have a very good impression about it too. It's Elson who wanna go there to bring back his old time memories. We arranged to meet Sharlene & family (1st SIL) and Megan & family (2nd SIL) at the entrance @ 3pm. As usual, Megan & family was the last to arrive.

The sun was scotching and I can see that our little Princess's cheeks turned rosy. After the visit, we drove to the opposite building and settled our dinner @ the Korean Charcoal BBQ Restaurant. It's not cheap and it cost Megan & family $350 for that meal. Thanks for the treat. After that, they came over to our place for a mini party again. Shannen actually fell asleep on the journey back home, but was right awake when she reached home and heard the calling for all the jie jie and gor gor. Lolz..

Happy Birthday Shannen!!!!!!

It's been more than a year that I'm taking of Shannen all by myself. Which means, I have been a SAHM (stay at home mum) for more than a year too. It's really fun being with her everyday. Sometime sad, sometime happy, sometime angry, sometime can't stand it. Overall, I enjoy being with her all the while. To be able to spend time with her throughout this growing period, I have to thank Elson for his support.

Our little Princess is no longer a little baby now. She has her temper, understand more things and takes more instructions. She is able to handle more things by herself (example : feeding, drinking for a cup, taking off her diaper and clothes, etc). Just a few months back, she was only able to speak 2 words like ; daddy, mummy, nana (for banana), a le (for elephant), etc. Now she is able to speak more words at a go like ; mama 谢谢, daddy fat fat, mama sorri, elephant, banana, etc. Just can't for her to attend school in October and listen to her speaking in sentences. Lolz...

It's the big 2 for Shannen today. I had planned everything. I knew that Elson won't be bother about Shannen's birthday, cos he's just that kinda person. I also knew that way before hand, the "elderly" had told me not to let Shannen blew candles twice on her birthday, but it's her actual day today, I can't just sit there and pretend that it's just a normal day. So, I planned to bring Shannen out for a lunch @ Swensen's and celebrate her birthday for her. It's nothing grand, so I guess it's not that serious too. I also made some Mee Sua with egg for her for dinner.

P.S. for relatives who read about this post, please do not let the "elderly" know that I celebrated Shannen's birthday twice. If you are not too sure who the "elderly" is, please feel free to ask me.

Zoo Out 9

It's been almost 2 months since we last visited the Zoo. It's not we are being lazy, it's all because of the weather. Since it's a good sunny day today, Elson had decided that it's time for Shannen to meet her friends again.

We took a long walk today. Covered almost every corner of the Zoo. All of us were tired. Think Shannen must have used up all her strength that she manage to had some chicken(KFC) and bun at 8pm after she finished her dinner at 5pm. She even asked for milk(240ml) at 9.20pm and finished everything.

Can't wait!!!

A baby kangaroo eating @ the open field

Shannen was so happy to see the baby kangaroo

All I have to say is "Shannen, pose for mummy" and she did all these all by herself after she saw my camera.

So tired after all the walking and pictures taking

Shannen was so hesitate to touch the horse

After Elson's encouragement, she started to stroke the horse

Hairclip

After seeing me clipping my hair, Shannen also wanna do it too. She was so happy when I clip her fringe for her.

Shannen Draws Me

Shannen took about 3 minutes to draw this picture and I love it!
