Sentosa

Had been raining since morning and I don't think Elson will want to proceed with our plan to Sentosa. Has been wondering, how come the rain is so "long-winded" today?? It our 1st Sentosa trip and how can Heaven be so unfair to me??? I waited, hopefully that the rain will stop. At least stop when before we left for Sentosa and I don't mind that the rain starts again after we reach there, but seem like my wish didn't come true. It was still raining....... Elson woke together with Shannen(after her afternoon nap). He told me to pack Shannen's raincoat in the bag too. Means - we can still go to Sentosa though it's raining, hooray!!! I quickly packed everything. Changed into the correct outfit and off we go to Sentosa! Our main purpose to come to Sentosa is to bring Shannen to the Underwater World. We then parked our car at the Beach Carpark and took a tram to the nearest station. Since Elson have a DBS CC, we were given a 30% discount for the entrance tickets and Shannen was entering the Underwater World for free for children under 3. She was amazed by the fishes swimming around in the tank. The only inconvenient was we need to carry the stroller up and down the stairs in the Underwater World. Think it would be great if they(the management) can upgrade it to a more "pram-friendly" place for the parents. After 30mins of stay, we decided to take a stroll back to the carpark to pick up our car and proceed for dinner. Reason is because the tram was too small and there's no place to keep the pram except on our laps. 2nd is there's also no other interesting places to visit in Sentosa except for the beach, but since it's still drizzling, we decided to give it a miss. We drove to Rasa Sentosa for our buffet dinner. Since the dinner will only start @ 6pm, we went to the children playground to let Shannen play on the wet swing and slide. After changing her wet clothes and diaper, we went back to the restaurant for our dinner. I agreed with Elson that it's not worth it to dine-in there for that much we paid ($42 +++). Not much variety and it doesn't taste that good too. Anyway, it was a "not bad" trip after all. It's not the food or visiting that matters, but it's what we are being together and have fun that matters.

Shannen took about 3 minutes to draw this picture and I love it!
