Penang Trip Day 3

Finally it's time to go home and back to the same routine again. Kinda enjoy this trip. At least I get to see all of them and have some good foods and durians.
Elson didn't want to join us for breakfast as Shannen was making noise the whole night and he couldn't sleep well. So off we go to the coast to have some Bak Ku Teh along with many other dishes. Before that, 姑姑 drove us to her house so that 老姨 can pick up another car to drive us to the coast cos we didn't' let them know that me and Shannen would join them for breakfast.

It was a huge house. Along the same road as the Thai Ambassador. It's something like Bukit Timah back home. All the rich people stay there. 姑姑 told us that his FIL built the house himself, importing the tiles from overseas. It's consider a rich man house at that time (40-50 years back). I dun know how many square feet it was but comparing to mine, it's at least 4-5 times bigger. I saw some cars parked there unused, tyre already gone. Saw 2 maids tending to the garden. They have pets like mouse, dog, birds, fishes, even snakes. Since her FIL had passed away, they children are "fighting" for inheritance. It's sad to see these but because the old people never believe in will and end up their children fighting for the leftover after they passed away. It's worse when they have 2 wives with so many children fighting. Well, I guess it always happen to the rich, even back in Singapore.

After a mini tour to the house, we went straight for more foods. Shannen enjoy the foods and I think she likes the "traditional" baby chair too. After breakfast, we went back to our room and Elson was already awake. We packed and off we go to 老姨's flat. I stayed there before. It was in 1993 when Penang had their worse flood ever in 40 years. We were at the 6th floor and seeing people opp us moving their furniture and things to the 2nd floor and when the water came onto the 2nd floor, they moved again. Back to our activities. We went straight to the hawker centre as Elson hasn't had anything. We tried their local Penang Laksa, Curry Noodles, Lor Mee, Ice-Kachang, Ngoh Hiang, some local cakes and Fried Chicken Skin. Overall, everything was good, except for the Curry Noodle (not as good as Singapore Laksa) and Lor Mee(not so tasty). We also bought some Friend Chicken Skin so that we can enjoy them at the airport.

After food, we went to flat and gave Shannen milk. Saw pics taken when Lynn Kai & Lynn Zhi were young. Wow... can't believe that my pretty and slim 姑姑 used to be that "big" during her pregnancy. Lolz... We left at about 3pm and 姑姑 gave us a lift to the airport. Check-in was smooth as we were early. Bought some local delicacies for our neighbours and Huiting's friends. Elson also bought a Doreamon for Shannen (1st time buying soft toy for Shannen), though he wanted to buy her a Dumbo, but she wanted a Doreamon. 30mins before boarding the plane, a staff approached us and told us that he is going to change our seat to the front row (ours original was 3rd row when I booked online, front row already taken up by then) and asked us to follow him. He lead us to the 1st Class entrance and I can see many pairs of eyes looking at us, wondering what's going on. Flight was short but my little princess was way too tired and took a nap. Cos she never had a chance to take any nap after she woke up at 9am. Soon when we touch down and done our check-out, Elson rushed to the toilet(because of the curry noodles, his stomach can never hold any chili, but he just like them). While I went to the nearby cafe to get Huiting a cheesecake and Shannen a tuna sandwich.

After that off we hopped into our car, drove Huiting home and tabao dinner back.

Shannen Draws Me

Shannen took about 3 minutes to draw this picture and I love it!
