Growing Up

Have seen lots of improvement on Shannen ever since she goes to school. She is more independent as in feeding herself, take out all her clothes by herself before bathe, having her own sense of fashion (chose what to wear when we are going out), wearing her own shoe and sock by herself too. She also started to put on her pant by herself but not for the top. Of course, she speak alot too. As in almost full communication with us.

Case 1

Went to pick her up from school 1 day while she was still eating. Once her classmate saw me, he quickly dashed into the canteen and told Shannen that I am coming to pick her. Shannen replied "I never see my mummy, okay?" and continue to eat her pear. It was Teacher Saria who just came out from the canteen told me these. I was laughing away. Just when I went into the canteen, Shannen ran over to me and looks like nothing happened. Lolz..

Case 2

Shannen was playing with Elson's cards while on the way to school. Once reached, Elson just took the cards from her. Shannen got to piss..

Shannen : Say sorry
Elson : Har? (paused for a while for what Shannen had said) Okay, bye bye, see you later.
Shannen : No bye bye. I don't want Daddy. Daddy very rude. (climbed down from the car and stormed into the school)

The teachers were asking me why was Shannen so moody in the morning(usually Shannen will greet all the teachers when she reach school). I told them what happen and everyone was laughing. Lolz...

5th Gynae Checkup

This is the 1st time Shannen came along with me for the gynae checkup. Cos I think she is able to accept the fact that we are going to have a new member in our family soon. She also kept calling the little one(inside me) didi and even kiss the baby goodnight before she sleeps. Shannen was very excited to follow me into the room with company by my mum. Had told Dr. Adrian that I only put on 500 grams since the 1st day I knew that I was pregnant. As usual, he did a scan for me. When Shannen saw her so-called didi from the screen, she was shouting out "mummy give birth to baby liao". We were all laughing away.

Had asked Dr. Adrian whether is he able to confirm the baby sex. After a long scan, we failed to identify whether it's a boy or girl. Cos the little one just refuse to open his/her leg. Dr. Adrian had confirmed that the baby is very healthy and I will be going for my detailed scan next month. Let just wait and see then.

Sarah is measured @ 11.1cm.

31 Months Milestones

Needless for me to say again that Shannen has grown up. We also realised that she put on some weight that make her face looks fat now. Lolz. Shannen has been shooting questions at me every now and then. Kept asking why, what's that, how is it, etc. Though I gave her the answer in no time, she will ask me the same questions again within seconds.

So 1 fine day I then tried a trick on her. When she shoot me the same question, I told her "mummy is not feeling well, headache, going to rest for a while" She diam diam and look @ me with a blurred face. Lolz... Guess what. Shannen did the same to me too. I was asking her to pick up the tissue paper on the floor and she said " I headache, not feeling well, going to faint" and she climbed up the bed quickly and hide under the blanket. OMG, I gave her the blurred look in return.

As for toilet training, Shannen is on the other way. Instead of getting her to go to the toilet to pee, she will go to the toilet to do her big business. Whenever Shannen feel like passing motion, she will call for me quickly that she wanna poo poo. Will then put on her mini toilet seat on the bowl to let her do her big business. It's been going on for weeks and so far no problem with that. As for her smaller business, guess I will "wait" for the right time then. Maybe it's because am too lazy to train her. As there's a few times when I changed Shannen, she will refuse to put on her diaper, but in order for me to get more rest, I still insist that she put them on.

Makaning

It's the usual day which I bring Shannen to mummy's place. On the other hand, I need to use up the voucher which I got after joining as a member of New York New York restaurant since it will expired in another month times. Picked up Shannen earlier from school then took a cab to mummy's place to pick up daddy & mummy then we head off to Kovan Mall for our appointed lunch @ New York New York. I ordered a Aglio Loil, Daddy had an Hawaiian Chicken Chop, Shannen & Mummy shared a Long Island Salmon. I also ordered a Calamari for side and a Root Beer Ice-cream to share. Shannen was enjoying herself as you can see from the pictures below.

When we reached mummy's place, was surprised to see a mini mountain of bean spout shells at the door. Daddy managed to a huge bag of bean spout shells from his old-time friend. It took us 2 days to finish clearing the mess. All the cleaned and dried up shell will be replacing Shannen's old bolster. While Daddy will get more shells for us when baby no.2 is coming out soon.

Hand Foot Mouth Disease

Received a call from Teacher Ida, informing me that there's a confirmed case and 2 suspected cases of HFMD in school. Since Shannen last had the suspected infection(ulcers in her throat), I will have to pay extra attention to her personal hygiene this time. Will also check her before she go to school everyday until the "chain" is broken.

Just can't believe that some parents can send their sick children to school, just having the thoughts that they will be wasting some $$ if their children don't attend the classes. Don't they have some pitiful feel for their own children. The poor child is sick and you still insist to send he/she to school? Is earning $$ so important in life that you can simply ignore your sick child? Really don't understand their thinking...

New Hairstyle

Elson was so proud of himself that he told me to take some pictures of Shannen for his 1st masterpiece.

We Are Back!

Elson suggested to bring Shannen to the reservoir today after dinner since the weather was good. This time, Shannen managed to finish the whole pathway without any carrying or riding on her bicycle. Can see that she was having a great time playing.

Finally Over

Managed to contact Huiting's mother (my flesh blood 8th Aunty) and get her to go down to Causeway Point to meet us(Mummy & SHE aka Shannen, Huiting & Erin) outside Singtel. This is to get her to sign on some papers to ensure that Huiting will not need her in future to re-new her Singtel's contract as she is already 18. After everything was done, we went to Crystal Jade for lunch. It cost me $90 for this meal but after all it's worth it as I don't have to see her(Huiting's mother) again.

As promised, brought Shannen to Kiddy Palace to chose her toys. She was very indecisive, so I end up buying a big bag of Mega Blocks(bought this for last year Nov. Toddler's Birthday bash) for her. Told mummy to bathe Shannen with some "flowers" as to chase away the bad luck (usually I am not so superstitious, but after Shannen fell sick for 4 times within a week, I think I had to do that for her). Hopefully the whole episode will come to an end.

Also brought Shannen to the playground after a few failed attempts by daddy. He tried to bring Shannen to the playground almost every week, but failed. Cos when they reached the lift, Shannen will U-turn back, crying and asking for me. Lolz....
