Dinner @ Thai Village in Chong Pang

Whenever we drove pass Chong Pang, we will see queue outside this Thai Village Restaurant. Was wondering what so good about it. Not every store with queues are good. Asked Mummy Shannen about it and she told me that the foods are nice and cheap there. So we decided to pop in and give it a try.

Just as we reached the restaurant, we can see many people queuing up already. Kinda hesitate to dine there. so I told DH that if the queue is too long, then we will forget about it and just tabao some foods from Chong Pang market and eat at home. The Uncle at the counter told us that those people are waiting for seat inside the restaurant, otherwise we can immediately take the seat outside. Of course we would prefer not to wait and sit outside.

We ordered their famous Thai-Style fried fish, deep fried cuttlefish, honey chicken, tom yam soup, stir-fried beef. The Uncle who took our order confirmed with us again whether are we able to finish all the foods or not. Lolz... We spent less than $40 for this meal and I think we will come again.

Finally manage to get all the stuffs ready for Shannen to Bali and of course by doing that my pocket kena burn a huge hole. Brought her to Thomson Plaza yesterday to get the leftover stuffs for Shannen.

Bittergound

After a few weeks of caring and loves we showered to the bittergound plant, hardworks finally paid off. Saw a yellow flower popping out from the bittergound. Soon we will have free bittergound to eat liao lor!!!!

Poo Poo

Shannen didn't have her regular poo poo lately. Last time, she will poo poo everyday. Right now will be 2 days once only. If better, will be 1 1/2 day once. Her last poo poo was on Sunday night. So I decided to gave her some packet milk after her lunch. She kinda like it cos the milk is cold. She had the milk @ 2pm and poo poo @ 3pm. I think the milk works well on her. Got to ask DH to buy more to stock up liao.

Zoo Out 2

DH said he will try to bring Shannen to the Zoo once a week. At least to let her learn more about animals and also let her expose things herself. We dun have much energy this time around. So tired to carry her under the hot sun. Think we need to bring the pram along next time. Enjoy the pics then...

Air Tickets & A Bear

Just received the air tickets, accommodation confirmation & a TY bear from MISA Travel, Ms Pei Kuan. I would say she give a wonderful service to me. Before I gave her any confirmation on our trip to Bali, she was already very patient with me, giving me good advice on where to go with Shannen coming along. She does not fail to return my calls too(I can be very nagging sometime). Overall, I like her service very much.

Got a miss call from her this morning cos my phone was on silent mode as Shannen was sleeping(as usual), but when I returned her call I was told that she was on sick leave. Hope she gets well soon.

Collection Of Passports

So happy that I received 2 notifications from Singapore Immigration Office yesterday saying that both mine & Shannen's passports are ready for collection. We left for mummy's house and reached there @ about 10.30am. Mummy helped me to let Shannen take a nap while I went out for a haircut.

Heard from Wendy (the hairdresser) that she also went to collect her passport last Monday which made her waited for about 1 and a half hour. Wow... which means we gonna take a cab there just in case our little princess need her nap by 3pm.

As soon she got up, mummy gave her the porridge while I took a shower and off we go to collect our passports. I've got a Q no. with 40 people in front of us, but it only took about 15 minutes to reach our turn. God blessed. Since it's still early, we decided to take another cab to Plaza Sin & had some foods @ Cartel. Daddy was so attracted by the pic outside(pork ribs). So we ordered a St. Louis Pork Ribs set meal to share, a Hawaiian set meal for Huiting & a waffle ice-cream for Little Shannen. The pork ribs wasn't as good as we imagined. On the other hand, it's the Hawaiian pork chop which tasted better. After food, we went upstairs to do a quick check on Shannen's hat. Lucky enough cos manage to get 2 hats for her.

Daddy's Girl - Shannen

Just couldn't believe that Shannen will cry until so drama. She was very naughty after her bath and didn't want me to wear her diaper for her. Kept tossing and struggling to get up. DH saw it and told her that he will beat her if she dun behave. Guess what, Shannen turned over and cried out loud. Cried until like those who cannot catch their breath and still dun want me to wear her diaper for her. After that DH held onto her hand and gave a small pat(little beating her, but really very light only), she cried louder this time and hang onto me like a Koala bear.

No choice, got to put on her pull-up diaper instead. Still she was clinging onto me. Told DH that I wanna take my shower now, then he finally opened his golden mouth and said "come, Daddy baobao you". Wow.... Shannen just jumped onto him and cried again. Really a daddy's girl. While I was getting ready for my things to shower, overheard their conversations.

Daddy : Come, let daddy comb your hairs..
Shannen: papa... then follow by some baby mumbling
Daddy : Ok lah. I sayang you
Shannen : Hug daddy(action) and sobbed again

Postphone Honeymoon Trip

Finally we had agreed on a 4days 3 nights short trip to Bali & stay @ my dream hotel, Hard Rock Cafe Bali. Though there are some bad reviews on this hotel, but still wanna give it a try. Like DH always say, you never try, you never know. Since it's during the peak season, we will be paying a little higher than the usual fare. DH told me that this trip is meant for me. For what I have done to the family and Shannen and make this house very "warm" for him after work. At least he appreciated what I've done for our family.

Will be flying thru SQ cos DH preferred the seats there (he used to work in a travelling agency as tour guide) and he also told me it would be much safer comparing to Guruda. We paid $825 for per adult & $321 for Shannen for this trip including Singapore taxes. Won't be planning for a full day tour since we just wanna go there and relax. DH said, Shannen is too young to know & remember it. So no point going to every coner of Bali to make us all so tired, but still I will make sure that the memory cards are all empty so that I can take as many pics as possible. Till then, look out for more updates after I return.

Family Day

Soon as Shannen finished her lunch we took the bag and off we go to the Zoo. On the way there, gave Shannen 1/2 bottle of her fav. Yakult Ace Light. Think is because she had too much porridge, that's why she gave me some leftover Yakult.

We saw the White Tigers, Baboons, Hippos, Elephants, lots of Monkets, Otters, Deers, Flamingos, Pigs & Goats. Didn't cover the whole map cos we will visit the Zoo again. Went to The Forest Fare at the Zoo for our lunch. It's an International Buffet for $20 +++ per adult. Not too bad. Kinda like the Laksa.

Reached home @ about 2.30pm. All of us took a bath(separately) then went to take a nap. Think Shannen walked too much @ the Zoo that she took a 3 hours nap. After her dinner, we drove to East Coast Park to get our dinner. Ordered Stingray, Mussels, Bamboo Clams & Mutton Satay. Reached home within 15 minutes as I can see Elson was driving very fast. He told me jokingly that he will be angry is his stingray gets cold. Lolz..

Passport

Need to get both our passport done quickly so that we can plan for a short trip. Brought Shannen to Yishun central and searched the whole place but couldn't find a single "Photo Shop". Have to take a cab back to Chong Pang to get both our pictures taken. Before that, we stop by the Royal Sporting House shop to get a pair of Crocs for Shannen. She insisted on the colour of the shoe and also the Disney designs of Goofy & Piglet.

The 1st "Photo Shop" we went didn't have Passport pic service, then the aunty direct us to the other shop which is near the coffeeshop. Both the Uncle & Aunty are so kind that they helped me to scan and save our passport pictures into my thumb drive so that I can send our passport application online. Hopefully can get the collection mail soon.

19th Months Milestones

Shannen is another month older and can understand more things now. Much more co-operative than before. Sometime even help me to carry things. She will also automatically pick up things on the floor and throw away. Of course those are unwanted things.

She can also speak a few Chinese words like 愛你, 水, 不要, 謝謝 & of course her favourite will be 钱. It's cute when she say them in her "angmo" slang. There was this day when she suddenly look at her daddy, call him, "papa, 愛你. We were both surprised by her words. Can see that Elson was very happy then. She read more now, especially for those books which makes some sound when you press on them. After I put up 2 big posters on the wall, she loves to point at them when her daddy call for it.

Daddy also promise that he will be quitting smoking after he finish the box of cigarette which he just bought from the supermarket. Cos he said it's too costly to smoke liao. 1 box of cigarette will cost him $100++. He rather keep the money and planning to change his car by end of the year. He have been thinking of this car since it 1st launch in Singapore and that has been years liao. Hopefully his dream will come true. As for me, I will just sit back and enjoy my ride then.

Great Grandpa's Birthday

We were all dressed up like a pair and getting ready to go out to celebrate Shannen's Great Grandpa's Birthday(my Ah Gong). This is the Night Safari T-shirt which ELson bought for her and it cost $30/-.

Reservoir

It was a good weather after a afternoon shower. Elson decided to bring Shannen to the reservoir just behind our house for a "run" after her dinner. It was a nice place with no car, but I was kinda disappointed. Though it's a reservoir which dogs are not allow, but I still find dog's poo poo at the field. Also saw a man who bring along his Husky to the reservoir too.

Shannen had a good run at the big field and was making noise when Elson wanna bring her home. Lolz... I need to get her the Croc soon cos the shoe which she was wearing was soaked. Not waterproof after all.
